Forest fire hazard expected to change

There has been one new fire reported in the East Fire Region within the last 24 hours.

North Bay 26 was reported at 0.1 hectares and is not yet under control.

There are 10 active fires throughout the East Fire Region.

The forest fire hazard for Wednesday, July 15 is forecasted to be low in the northern half of the region while a moderate to high hazard remains in the southern half.

The hazard is expected to be knocked down to low throughout the entire region by July 16.

While enjoying your campfire this summer, remember to keep your fire small, never leave it unattended and make sure it is completely extinguished before leaving the site.
