Active fires today - 8

Total fires to date - 184

Total hectares to date - 2,844

Current situation There were eight new fires reported yesterday in Sault Ste. Marie (four fires), Halliburton (two fires), Pembroke, and Sioux Lookout districts.

All fires were contained at small sizes.

Although a hazard continues to build in the southwest portions of the West Fire Region and Sault Ste. Marie district, fire numbers are expected to stay low.

All Ontario staff have returned from Quebec.
