Folding chair used in domestic assault

************************* A 49-year-old male was arrested on June 30 and charged with two counts of assault, one count of assault with a weapon and one count of careless storage.

It is alleged that on Monday June 30 at approximately 8 p.m., the accused was at his girlfriend’s residence and while there became involved in an argument.

During the argument, the accused assaulted his girlfriend by punching her in the head.

A second female present at the residence was also allegedly punched in the head and then assaulted with a chair.

Police attended and arrested the accused.

During the police investigation, officers located an unsafely stored firearm belonging to the accused.

The two victims did not require medical attention.
