Flakeboard in Sault Ste. Marie, can now add Superior medium-density fiberboard (MDF), Vesta no-added-urea-formaldehyde (NAUF) MDF and its full array of thermally fused melamine to its list of Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified products.

Until recently Flakeboard offered FSC certified particleboard, MDF and melamine finished panels.

This week, it announced new FSC certifications for its chain-of-custody standards on significantly more of its products.

"The Forest Stewardship Council is a globally-recognized, not-for-profit organization established to promote responsible management of the world’s forests," says the Flakeboard Sault Ste. Marie website. "Its CoC system follows FSC certified material through the manufacturing process from forest to consumer, and provides a union between responsible production and consumption."

FSC information and standards can be found on the Forest Stewardship Council website.
