NEWS RELEASE BAY MILLS POLICE ************************* The Bay Mills Police Department responded to a traffic accident involving an automobile and a snowmobile that resulted in the death of a 5 year-old girl who was the passenger on the snow mobile.

************************* The Bay Mills Police Department responded to a traffic accident involving an automobile and a snowmobile that resulted in the death of a 5 year-old girl who was the passenger on the snow mobile.

The operator of the snowmobile was taken to a local hospital, where he remains.

The collision occurred on February 13 at 3:30 p.m. on Lakeshore Drive at a designated snowmobile trail crossing near Brimley, Michigan.

The accident remains under investigation.

Bay Mills Police was assisted by Chippewa Connty Sheriff Department, Michigan State Police, U.S. Border Patrol, Bay Mills Emergency Connection, Kinross Emergency Medical Services, Bay Mills Fire, and Superior Township Fire.
