FENWICK, TWP, ON - Fishing nets used by a local fisherman on Parisienne Ile were destroyed over the weekend.

The owner had left four fishing nets piled neatly in a steel box on the dock on the south end of Parisienne Ile on Lake Superior between the 1st and the 3rd of October.

Upon his return to the dock on October 3, the owner observed the nets cut up in small pieces.

The cost of the damage is estimated at $600.

This is the second incident of this kind.

On August 11, the same fisherman had returned to the dock area to find his nets burned, completely destroying them.
