Fire forces evacuation at Quattro Hotel (5 photos)

Guests were evacuated for over an hour while Sault firefighters ventilated smoke

A fire in a second floor room caused the evacuation of guests staying at the Quattro Hotel & Conference Centre on Tuesday evening.

A guest whose room was close to the room on fire said the hallway on the second floor was "just black with smoke" when he came out of his room at about 9:30 p.m.

Shortly before 11 p.m. guests, who had been keeping warm waiting in their vehicles in the parking lot, were allowed back into the hotel.

SooToday will have more on this story when information becomes available.
