Fire breaks out behind Market Mall

CITY POLICE NEWS RELEASE ************************* At approximately 2 a.m. this morning the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service and Sault Ste. Marie Fire Services responded to a fire at the rear of the Market Mall, 275 Second Line West.

************************* At approximately 2 a.m. this morning the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service and Sault Ste. Marie Fire Services responded to a fire at the rear of the Market Mall, 275 Second Line West.

Upon arrival, the City Police and fire departments located boxes and furniture on fire at the rear of the building.

The fire department extinguished the fire before it could cause any damage.

The buildings were not damaged.

Several youths were seen leaving the area prior to the arrival of the police.
