There were no injuries resulting from a house fire at 172 Cathcart Street at around 8 p.m. Thursday evening.
Sault Ste. Marie Fire Services responded with five pump trucks and quickly put out the fire.
Firefighters were seen on the roof and going through windows on the second floor.
The house is a duplex and that the ground floor, where most of the flames were seen, was unoccupied at the time of the fire.
The upper floor apartment is occupied by two people, both of whom and a guest were in the residence at the time of the fire.
All three escaped the blaze without injury.
