****************************** Notice of public open house West End Community Centre project

SAULT STE. MARIE - The City of Sault Ste. Marie Community Services Department is hosting a public open house to update residents on the progress of the West End Community Centre project – Phase 1 and 2.

The public open house will take place on Thursday, September 9 from 4:30 to 7 p.m. in the Russ Ramsay Board Room, Level 3, Civic Centre, 99 Foster Drive.

Residents will be able to view the project drawings and provide comments.

The West End Community Centre project will be located at the W.J. McMeeken Centre site on Goulais Avenue.

Phase 1 and 2 will go to tender this fall, and will consist of a new Korah Branch Library, as well as an indoor turf facility that includes two soccer fields.

Phase 3 of the project is the replacement of the W.J. McMeeken Arena; this will be developed at a later date.
