It was announced today that Prince Township has been allotted $100,000 in funding – $80,000 from the federal government and $20,000 from the Government of Ontario – for municipal COVID infrastructure renovations and updates.

A news release issued today by the office of MP Terry Sheehan states that the federal portion of the funding comes from the COVID-19 Resilience Infrastructure Stream of the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program.

"This funding is much appreciated after a difficult past year and a challenging year ahead," said Prince Township Mayor Ken Lamming in the release. "We will be using this funding as recommended to make improvements to existing infrastructure as we adapt to the changes made due to the COVID-19 pandemic.”
