- Sault David Orazietti MPP David Orazietti is sponsoring free public ice skating at the Essar Centre from noon until 2 p.m. - Shadows of the Mind Film Festival has a family movie day, screening Charlotte’s Web at St. Mary’s College on Wellington Street. Special appearance by ventriloquist Tim Murphy with Algoma Public Health’s Jared. Also, get a sneak peak at the upcoming production of Charlotte’s Web from Theatre SMC. Doors open at 1:30 p.m. Fun starts at 2 p.m. Movie is from 2:30 – 4:15. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

- Sault Transit buses are operating on a Sunday schedule (hourly service).

- The John Rhodes Community Centre Pool is closed, but the ice pads there are open for scheduled events.

- Outdoor rinks are open, weather permitting. Please refer to on-site signage.

- There's no refuse collection today. Collection for the balance of the week will be one day late.

- Soo Finnish Nordic Ski Club is offering free rentals, lessons, and trail use for skiing as a special event today. Snowshoeing is also available. Equipment will be available from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on a first-come, first-served basis. Race team members will be giving free ski lessons from 10-12 and 1-3. Hot dogs and pop will be available for sale by the Hiawatha Highlands staff. Complimentary cookies and hot chocolate will also be available.

- Searchmont is offering free Family Day lift tickets for kids 12 and under with a paying adult or season-pass holder.
