FAMILY COALITION PARTY

**************************** Family Coalition Party: Government policies discriminate against the family

The Family Coalition Party, Ontario’s only political party that advocates for traditional family, life-respecting and truly fiscally responsible policies, is organizing in Sault Ste. Marie and Algoma.

The leader of the FCP explains: “Government policies in all areas of governance, have been established to support the government at the expense of family and society. Government policy is directed toward maximizing tax dollars for the government coffers, forcing both parents to work to cover the high cost of taxes - note tax freedom day in Ontario does not happen until June 6 - while the government attempts to take on more and more responsibility for raising the children through government assisted daycare, full-time kindergarten – which require more taxation to support the government bureaucratic solutions.”

Lees goes on to share that as a result, parental involvement in their children’s lives is seriously reduced, and leads to increased family pressures.

This leads to families spending more to offset the guilt feelings, which results in  deeper debt and this leads to increased family breakdown.

As a matter of fact, the number one cost to government is social assistance, and the number one factor affecting social assistance is family breakdown –  often due to poor government policies.

Family Coalition Party is practical enough to know that supporting and encouraging traditional families to raise children in a stable, committed relationship is sound public policy.

Simply put, research demonstrates that the traditional family is the basic building block of society, and FCP embraces this, and we believe most Ontarian’s agree with this.

This support for family has many consequences for policies related to tax, education and employment.

Policies on family-friendly tax, choice in child care, responsible government spending and more can be viewed at our website - www.familycoalitionparty.com.
