Explore financing opportunities at city's 'funding forum'

The City of Sault Ste. Marie’s Economic Development department will host a free Funding Forum on March 22 from 8:30 a.m. to noon at the Quattro Hotel and Conference Centre. 

The forum is designed for companies, industry, and community partners to explore funding and financing options in Sault Ste. Marie, the city said in a news release.

Attendees will have the opportunity to network with presenters and representatives to learn about funding and financing programs that may suit their organization’s needs. 

The following organizations will be participating at the event: 

  • Business Development Bank of Canada 
  • Millworks - Centre for Entrepreneurship 
  • Sault Ste. Marie Innovation Centre 
  • Sault Ste. Marie Chamber of Commerce 
  • Community Development Corporation of Sault Ste. Marie & Area 
  • NOHFC 
  • FedNor 
  • City of Sault Ste. Marie (Economic Development and Tourism) 
  • Destination Northern Ontario 

“We’re fortunate to have access to business support and funding options for our business community in Sault Ste. Marie”, said Graham Atkinson, manager of business development.

“The Funding Forum is a gathering of community leaders, entrepreneurs, stakeholders, business owners and key economic development partners providing an opportunity for owners/operators to learn about support and funding available to them and connect them to the individuals at these organizations.” 

A light breakfast and refreshments will be available.

Participants are asked to register in advance by March 15.
