Noooooooooooooo!

How can this be happening?

Since noon today, almost 200 more Saultites have voted to keep the Sault's proposed youth centre alive in the second round of the Aviva Community Fund online competition.

But in the 10 hours since then, we've actually slipped in the rankings, from the 30th spot to 33rd.

Unless readers start forwarding this story to friends, we're not going to make it.

To advance to the semi-finals, we need to be among the top 20 concepts.

Martin Wyant, chief executive officer of the Sault Ste. Marie Family YMCA, is seeking $75,000 from the Aviva Community Fund for a new local youth centre.

The money would be used to add a youth library, gaming lounge, computer-based music studio, mulitmedia centre, pool table and board games to all the other amenities currently available at the local Y.

The second round ends at midnight Sunday, so we need a lot of help from SooToday.com readers to keep our proposed youth centre in contention.
