Emergency crews on scene of downtown collision (5 photos)

The cause of the accident and injuries are unknown at this time

At approximately 3:15 p.m., emergency crews were called to the corner of Albert Street East and March Street for reports of a motor vehicle collision.

A blue vehicle’s front end faced heavy damages, while a black pickup truck that appeared to be involved in the accident had minor damages.

Paramedics, fire crews and police officers were required on the scene to handle the situation.

Several people were treated by paramedics on the sidewalk while Sault Fire Services investigated the scene.

Sault Police have the intersection blocked off in all directions as cleanup efforts get underway.

The cause of the accident and any resulting injuries are unknown at this time.
