Catch the Ace at the George Wellington Esquire Club continues Thursday evenings.

Last week the lucky winner took home over $1,500, but left the ace of spades and $32,000 in play, and the jackpot continues to grow! This generous initiative of the Esquire Club provides opportunities for the participants of Big Brothers Big Sisters, the Group Health Centre Trust Fund and big winnings for a lucky community member.

Every Thursday evening between 6 and 9 p.m., tickets are sold at the Esquire Club. Tickets are available to purchase for $5/ticket.

To make it even easier to win the Esquire club is offering Group Play. Group Play is a great way to enjoy the fun and support local charities, even if you aren’t able to make it every Thursday.

Group play provides the opportunity for groups to purchase multiple tickets, split the winnings and only the 'group captain' is required to be in attendance to purchase tickets and claim the winnings.

Prior to the draw, the ticket sales, the prize and current progressive pot will be announced. Random ticket draw takes place at 9:30 p.m. and the lucky winner takes 20 per cent of ticket sales from that night.

The winning ticket holder or team captain of group play must be present to claim the prize and must claim the prize within 15 minutes of the draw. The draw winner then has a chance to choose a numbered envelope in search of the elusive ace of spades.

If the winning ticket bearer selects the ace of spades, they will also receive the progressive pot.

If the ace is not selected, the card is removed and destroyed and the progressive portion of the ticket sales is rolled over into the progressive jackpot for the next scheduled draw, and so on until the Ace is selected.

The George Wellington Esquire Club’s mandate is to support community partners, and they do, in a big way!

Big Brothers Big Sisters and the Group Health Centre Trust Fund would like to extend our sincere thanks to the George Wellington Esquire Club for including our agencies in this venture, and encourage residents to get out and have some fun on Thursdays.

Catch the Ace is licensed under Lottery Licence #9267.
