ELLIOT LAKE - Police are currently investigating a break, enter and theft at a local chip wagon in Elliot Lake.

The business is located at the Spruce Beach on Spruce Avenue in Elliot Lake.

Investigation revealed that sometime between 12:30 a.m. on June 22, 2009 and 8:30 a.m. unknown person(s) entered the business by smashing a window.

Taken was an undisclosed amount of ice cream.

ELLIOT LAKE - The East Algoma OPP is currently investigating a break enter and theft at a residence on Valley Crescent in Elliot Lake.

Sometime on June 17 the resident left the home unattended when unknown person(s) allegedly entered the residence through an unlocked door and took jewellery.

The theft may have occurred between the following times: 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m., or 4 p.m. and 5 p.m.
