Elliot Lake man faces numerous charges

****************************** Don't drink and drive

ELLIOT LAKE - While on general patrol on Saturday, February 12 an officer of the East Algoma OPP conducted a routine traffic stop at approximately 12:15 p.m. on Westhill Road in Elliot Lake.

The officer had observed the driver not wearing a seat belt.

Upon further investigation the driver was charged.

Charged with exceed 80 is Robert Michael Carlton (45) of Elliot Lake.

Carlton was also charged under the Highway Traffic Act with the following:

- Driver - fail to properly wear seat belt

- Class G2 licence holder – B.A.C. above zero

- Drive motor vehicle with no currently validated permit

Carlton is scheduled to appear in Elliot Lake court on April 5 to answer to the charge of exceed 80.
