$1,000,000 prize pending mandatory 30-day withholding

TORONTO, September 28 - Congratulations to Roland and Carolyn Seguin of Elliot Lake who won the jackpot prize of $1,000,000 from the Ontario 49 draw on July 15, 2009.

"This is very exciting," Roland Sequin excitedly said of his top prize win.

"We didn't know what to think! We were shaking a bit," he continued to say.

The couple plans to use their windfall for a good solid retirement.

As Roland and Carolyn Seguin are owners of an OLG retail location, this prize falls within OLG's definition of an insider win.

Major prize claims by insiders are subject to an independent investigation.

This investigation has been completed and the prize claim has been approved for payment.

The payment of prizes to Insiders is held for 30 days to allow anyone with concerns regarding the prize to come forward.

The prize claim is publicly announced through this news release which is also posted here.

Anyone having a concern regarding a prize claim may contact OLG at 1-800-387-0098, seven days a week, from 6 a.m. - 2 a.m.

The ticket was purchased at C & R Variety Plus located on Esten Drive South in Elliot Lake.

This prize will be paid to the claimant on October 28, 2009, based on the 30-day wait period.
