In one incident a 38-year-old female was taken to the hospital by ambulance for non-life-threatening injuries.

************************* City Police have been responding to a number of motor vehicle collisions due to weather conditions and would like to remind motorists to take a number of steps to increase their safety during the dark winter months.

Simple things such as keeping their vehicles maintained, planning journeys and adapting their driving techniques to suit road and weather conditions may help.

They also need to ensure that they are prepared to deal with all types of situations.

By planning ahead and being aware of their surroundings, they can help to reduce the number of motor vehicle accidents and injuries during the winter months.
