************************* Yesterday afternoon 43-year-old Edward Martel of 3-157 Albert Street East was charged with one count of theft under $5,000.
It is alleged that in August of this year the accused took a package of cigarettes without paying for them from Mac's Mart store on Wellington Street East.
The accused will appear in court on January 22.
