The Oilers thwarted Carolina's stab at winning the cup, and the two teams are now tied 3-3 in the best-of-seven series.

Carolina center Doug Weight didn't play tonight.

The former LSSU Laker suffered an unspecified injury to his upper body during Wednesday's game.
