Early morning shooting leads to investigation on Beverley

At around 4 a.m. on Sunday, officers were called to the 200 block of Beverley Street after multiple gun shots were heard in the area.

When they arrived on scene, officers found a victim suffering from at least two gunshot wounds.

The victim was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

A witness living down the street says he heard three loud gun shots before hearing a car drive off.

Police say the incident is not believed to be a random act of violence, and there is no threat to public safety.

Traffic is open in all directions of the neighbourhood as police continue to investigate the scene.
