***************************** Theft of a camper trailer in Chapleau area

CHAPLEAU, ON - Sometime in the evening of August 3rd, thieves stole a camping trailer from Leblanc Lake on the Adams Lake Road in Borden Township. The trailer is an older model, 17 foot cream coloured Prowler.

It has 2 axles with new tires and has noticeable damage to the front left corner.

This trailer had Ontario licence plate, D12-65R at the time of the theft.

***************************** Theft of purse from car in Chapleau

CHAPLEAU, ON - Superior East OPP, Chapleau are investigating a theft from a vehicle that occurred between 7 and 9 p.m. on August 3.

A woman’s black leather wallet was stolen from the vehicle while parked on Demers Street in Chapleau.

The vehicle was unlocked and the windows open.

Several pieces of I.D., and cash including a US $100.00 bill were in it.

Police again remind drivers to protect their valuables by locking their vehicle doors when left unattended.
