Dude wears cowboy hat to school. Chicks dig it

Terry Grant, known to his many adoring fans and his not-so-adoring prey as Mantracker, used to wear his cowboy hat to school.

Terry Grant, known to his many adoring fans and his not-so-adoring prey as Mantracker, used to wear his cowboy hat to school.

"I didn't care if I was the only one wearing one," Mantracker told about 356 enthralled high school seniors today at Sault College.

"There was a bunch of girls standing around me and that's all I cared about," he said. "But the secret of success is confidence. Having the confidence to do what you want, even if others aren't doing it."

Mantracker said it's important to be persistent in going after your goals.

And to be confident to go after what you want.

Even if it's different from what others want.

High school seniors from the Algoma District School Board visited the college today for this year's Sault College Open House and Information Program.

Mantracker stopped by after wrapping up filming in Elliot Lake for his Outdoor Life Network reality TV series.

He told students he was very satisfied with his job as a cowboy and thought he was one of the luckiest guys alive to be able to retire from it and keep doing it for a TV audience.

"Make sure you have fun with what you do," Mantracker said.

After a short chat with each group, Mantracker answered questions and signed autographs.

Representatives from Algonquin, Boreal, Cambrian, Canadore, Centennial, Conestoga, Confederation, Georgian, Humber, Lambton, Northern, Seneca College, and ontariocolleges.ca were on hand in the Sault College gymnasium to provide visiting students with information about the programs and services they offer.
