Dude trashes partner's appliances with sledgehammer

************************* AWERES TWP, ON - On Saturday the 27th of June, Sault Ste. Marie OPP were called to a residence to investigate a domestic occurrence.

A 37-year-old Sault Ste. Marie man has been charged with mischief under $5,000 for damaging household appliances with a sledge hammer.

The man had been drinking at the time.

He was released on conditions to appear in Sault Ste Marie court in July. ************************* HAVILLAND TWP, ON - On Friday the 26th of June, Sault Ste. Marie OPP were called to a Havilland Township location to investigate a domestic occurrence.

As a result of this investigation, a 29-year-old man from Sault Ste. Marie has been charged with two counts of assault and one count of uttering threats.

The man was held in custody pending a bail hearing on Monday.

************************* McDONALD TWP, ON - A break and enter into a shed on a recreational property on McCarrells Lake was reported on Saturday.

The shed was broken into some time between April and May.

Stolen was a 1986 9.9 Evinrude outboard motor.

************************ DENNIS TWP, ON - A break and enter into a shed on a property being prepared for construction on Lake Shore Drive in Dennis Township occurred between 1 p.m. Friday and 3 p.m. Saturday.

A hasp was pried off the door of the shed.

Stolen were a two horsepower Campbell air compressor and a 20-year-old 6 HP Mercury outboard motor.

Left at the scene were a five-pound splitting wedge, hatchet, hammer and a hay hook.
