************************** Fraud-related offences

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 38-year-old Pascal Houle of 218 Gloucester Street (basement) on the 11th of April at 9:38 a.m. at the police station and charged him with one count of fraud, one count of party to the offence of fraud and one count of failing to appear in court.

It is alleged that the accused was wanted on outstanding warrants in relation to fraud-related incidents that occurred on the 19th and 23rd of September when the accused attended at Wal-Mart and returned merchandise for a refund that had not been purchased at the store.

Further, the accused failed to appear in court on the 5th of May 2008.

The accused is to appear in bail court this morning.

************************* Domestic-related arrests

A 45-year-old female was arrested by officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service on the 12th of April at 3:18 a.m. at her residence and charged with two counts of breach of a release document.

It is alleged that on the 12th of April at approximately 2:46 a.m., the accused breached her recognizance order by communicating with her ex-boyfriend.

At the time of the incident the accused was under the influence of alcohol and was on further condition that she not consume any alcohol.

************************* Domestic-related arrests

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 22-year-old male on the 11th of April at 10:30 pm at the police station and charged him with one count of assault.

It is alleged that on the 11th of April at approximately 6:30 p.m. the accused assaulted his ex-girlfriend while inside his vehicle in a parking lot on Bruce Street.

The victim received non-life-threatening injuries as a result.

************************* Domestic-related arrests

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 49-year-old male at 1:30 a.m. this morning at his residence and charged him with one count of criminal harassment and four counts of breach of probation.

It is alleged that the accused was wanted on outstanding domestic-related warrants for criminal harassment involving his ex-girlfriend.

The accused had been charged with assaulting her in March of 2011 and was on several probation release conditions that he not harass, molest, annoy or physically interfere with her or to attend at her residence.

The accused beached the conditions from that time by continuously calling, e-mailing and attending at her residence, harassing her and attending near her home watching her. ************************* Assault

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 30-year-old Myles Zacharie of 379 Lake Street Unit G15 on the 11th of April and charged him with one count of assault and one count of threatening death or bodily harm.

It is alleged that on the 11th of April the accused assaulted and threatened a staff member at a local medical facility.

No injuries were reported.

The accused is to appear in court on the 16th of May.

************************* Outstanding warrant

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 30-year-old Laura Waboose of #2-319 Albert Street East on an outstanding warrant at the police station and charged her with one count of assault, one count of assault with a weapon and one count of breach of probation.

It is alleged that she was wanted for an assault incident that took place on the 30th of November 2010 at her residence when she assaulted a male known to her and threw an ashtray at his face.

The victim received non-life-threatening injuries as a result.

The accused was on probation at the time to keep the peace and be good.

The accused is to appear in court on the 16th of May.

************************* Shoplifting arrest

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 37-year-old Laura Williams of #11-196 James Street on the 11th of April at 6:45 p.m. at Winners in the Cambrian Mall and charged her with one count of theft under $5,000.

It is alleged that on the 11th of April at approximately 6 p.m. the accused attended at the store and stole some items.

She was apprehend by staff and held for police.

She is to appear in court on the 16th of May.

*********************** Break and enter reports

A residence on Retta Street was entered yesterday afternoon.

- A Dell laptop, some U.S. cash, an iPod Nano, a pink camcorder and some jewellery were reported taken.

- A construction trailer on Second Line East was broken into some time over the weekend. It is not known what was taken at this time.
