Dude accused of trying to pop a conservation officer

************************* Twenty-year-old Christopher Wilson of 267 Pim Street was arrested at 6:30 p.m. yesterday at Bellevue Park on Queen Street East and charged with one count of assaulting a peace office, one count of resisting a peace officer and two counts of breach of probation.

At 6:31 p.m., City Police were called to Bellevue Park to assist a conservation officer that was at the park investigating a dead goose under the Migratory Birds Convention Act.

It is alleged that when the conservation officer was dealing with the persons [allegedly] responsible, one of them, the accused, attempted to punch the officer and also resisted arrest.

He is to appear in bail court this morning.

The conservation officer will be following up the investigation regarding the contravention of the Migratory Birds Convention Act.
