DTA officially launches search for new executive director

SAULT STE MARIE DOWNTOWN ASSOCIATION

The Downtown Association Board would like to officially announce its search for a new executive director.

Beginning today (Dec. 18, 2019) candidates are encouraged to submit four copies of their cover letter and resumé in a sealed envelope (including references) to the Downtown Association office at: 496 Queen St. E. Sault Ste. Marie, Ont., P6B-1H2.

  The Association acknowledges that this posting has been released over the winter holiday season. As such, please call or email the office at 705-942-2919, [email protected] ahead of time to arrange the drop off of your materials. 

Potential applicants should demonstrate abilities in:

  • Representation and support of member initiatives,
  • Managing a diverse team, 
  • Grant writing, 
  • Budget and financial reporting, 
  • Communication, 
  • Marketing, and strategic planning/business plan writing

This position will be vacant as of Dec. 19, 2019 at which time the office will be helmed by Interim Manager Ashlyn McMillan. 

Ms. McMillan has worked with the Association for the past three years and has been instrumental to the overall success of the organization. The Board of Directors thanks her for her efforts and willingness to operate the day to day business of empowering small business and hosting community events among other responsibilities while this process is underway. 

The Downtown Association extends sincere thanks to our outgoing Executive Director Josh Ingram and wishes him all the best in his new role.
