************************* Yesterday afternoon, members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 26-year-old male on warrants.
It is alleged that on May 20 a warrant was issued to search the accused person’s basement apartment at 606 Wellington Street East.
At that time, officers located a loaded stolen 12-gauge shotgun, 12- and 410-gauge shotgun ammunition, 13 grams of cocaine, 70 Ritalin tablets, 363.5 grams of marijuana and 212 grams of psilocybin (magic mushrooms).
Jeffrey Godson-Roy, age 26, of no fixed address is charged with the following offences:
- Four counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.
- One count of possession of a firearm obtained by crime.
- One count of unauthorized possession of a firearm.
- One count of knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm.
- One count of careless storage of a firearm.
- Four counts of possession of weapon/ ammunition contrary to prohibition order.
At the time of his arrest, Mr. Godson-Roy was prohibited from possessing any firearm and/or ammunition.
The estimated street value of the drugs seized is $13,510.
