Drug raid in Elliot Lake

************************* Charges laid after search warrant executed

ELLIOT LAKE, ON. – On December 30, OPP members of the East Algoma Crime Unit, Sault Ste. Marie and Sudbury’s Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau (OCEB) and Drug Enforcement Units, Sault Ste. Marie Forensic Identification Unit, Canine and Emergency Response Team (ERT) executed a search warrant at a residence on Brunet Road, Elliot Lake, Ontario.

As a result of that search, a quantity of oxycodone, assorted prescription medication and stolen property was recovered.

Cyril Reid (58) of Elliot Lake, Ontario has been charged with:

- Possession Schedule I (X2), Section 4(1) CDSA.

- Trafficking Schedule I (X2), Section 5(1) (i) CDSA.

- Possession property obtained by crime under $5,000 Section 354(1) (a) CCC.

Angela Pearson (35) of Elliot Lake, Ontario has been charged with:

- Possession Schedule I (X2), Section 4(1) CDSA.

- Trafficking Schedule I (X2), Section 5(1) (i) CDSA.

- Possession property obtained by crime Under $5,000, Section 354(1) (a) CCC.

Both were released on a promise to appear in Elliot Lake Court on February 2 to answer to the charges.

Further charges are pending on additional people.

The investigation is continuing.
