************************* Drug charges for two local males

ELLIOT LAKE, ON - The OPP Joint Forces Drug Unit which consists of members from the OPP Drug Enforcement Section, OPP North East Region, Sault Ste Marie Police Service and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police have charged two local males after conducting surveillance at a local high school.

Charged with possession of cannabis marijuana is Jules Robert James Moore (18) of Elliot Lake.

Also charged with possession of cannabis marijuana and two counts of failing to comply is a 16-year-old male youth.

The name of the youth will not be released under the jurisdiction of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

Both parties are scheduled to appear in court on June 5th, 2007.
