Drug bust on Henrietta Ave

************************* Drug investigation results in arrest On the 14th of April at approximately 3:22 p.m., members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service street team were conducting a drug investigation in the West End of the city.

This investigation led to a traffic stop being conducted on Henrietta Avenue.

The male occupant of the motor vehicle was found to be in possession of 7.1 grams of cocaine, a digital scale, packaging materials, debt lists, cash ($465 seized as offence-related property), cutting agents, a cellular telephone and a quantity of prescription pills.

In addition, the male was found in possession of a toking device with a small amount of crack cocaine in it.

As a result, 58-year-old Gary Yukich of 34 Herrick Street was charged with six counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and one count of possession of a controlled drug or substance.

The total value of the narcotics seized was $1,380. Further, at the time of the offence, Yukich was bound by the conditions of an undertaking to abstain from the possession or use of cellular telephone, and was further charged with two counts of breach of undertaking.
