************************* Two persons arrested after execution of search warrant at their residence

On the 21st of September at approximately 8:28 p.m., members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service street team, canine unit, and emergency services unit executed a search warrant at 814 Wellington Street East - Apartment 4.

During the course of the search, officers located 149 capsules of morphine in different dosages, 228 grams of cannabis marijuana, as well as other medications, various drug paraphernalia, and packaging materials.

Further, officers located $100 in Canadian currency which was seized as offence-related property.

As a result, 50-year-old Grant Mullan and 27-year-old Lynn Kwissiwa of 814 Wellington Street East Apartment 4 were each charged with three counts of possessing a controlled drug or substance for the purpose of trafficking, two counts of possession of a controlled drug or substance and one count each of breach of probation.

It was further determined that Mullan [allegedly] trafficked two of the morphine tablets to Kwissiwa and was charged with one count of trafficking a controlled drug or substance.

The estimated street value of the drugs seized is $7,100.

They are to appear in court on the 26th of October.
