Driver survives Queen Street crash that demolishes her car

Amazingly, there were no life-threatening injuries when this car wrapped itself around a utility pole on Queen Street East this afternoon.

Only one vehicle was involved in the accident, which happened at Elizabeth Street across from the Great Lakes Forestry Centre.

The driver of the car, a woman, was taken to Sault Area Hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

Local firefighters also responded to the call.

Additional information may be released tomorrow by the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service.
