Driver charged with impaired after truck hits building (Updated)

Danny Alessandrini at Algoma Mortgage on the corner of Queen and Gore reports that an emergency restoration crew has completed clean up on the site.

A driver is facing impaired charges following a collision between a truck and a building in the early hours of Saturday morning. 

At approximately 1:19 a.m. Saturday, Sault Ste. Marie Police Service responded to a single vehicle collision at the corner of Gore Street and Queen Street West.

Police say a Dodge pickup truck collided with the building occupied by Algoma Mortgage at 2 Queen Street West. 

No injuries were reported.

The lone occupant of the pickup truck has been charged with one count of impaired driving and one count of over 80.
