OPP NEWS RELEASE

************************* Driver charged in motor vehicle collision

HAVILLAND TWP, ON – OPP along with the Goulais River First Response responded to a single-motor-vehicle rollover on Highway 17 North near the Havilland causeway at 2:30 a.m. this morning.

Highway 17 was closed for approximately two hours.

The vehicle was demolished and the driver was transported to hospital by ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver, 30-year-old Steve Bernier of Kapuskasing, Ontario was charged with one count of operation of a motor vehicle with over 80 milligrams of alcohol.

The accused was released on a promise to appear for court on April 26.
