City Police have confirmed that a local paramedic was charged after a weekend crash in which an ambulance was driving the wrong way on Gore Street.

Kevin Van Horne, 25, of 67-B Hare Avenue was charged under Section 153 of the Highway Traffic Act with driving the wrong way on a one-way street.

If convicted, he would get three demerit points.

The police report prepared after the crash shows the ambulance suffered slight damage.

The other vehicle that hit the wrong-way ambulance, a red Dodge Dakota, had moderate damage.
