An unnamed woman has been released from hospital with non-life threatening injuries after hitting a snowbank while trying to avoid colliding with an OPP cruiser, the OPP report.
The cruiser was travelling westbound on Highway 556 this past Friday around 7 p.m.
It hit an ice patch near the intersection of Highway 556 and Highway 17, slid into the northbound lane of Highway 17.
The woman, driving northbound in a 2008 Honda, swerved into the snowbank while attempting to avoid the cruiser.
The police officer was not injured and no charges were laid.
