Dr. Hergott takes the rest of the summer off

Sault obstetrician and gynecologist Dr. Paul Hergott has advised the medical affairs staff at Sault Area Hospital that he will be taking time off and does not plan to resume his duties until this fall. As SooToday.

As SooToday.com reported earlier today, the OPP has charged Hergott with sexual assault and sexual exploitation.

Sault Area Hospital, which in the past has had difficulties recruitment sufficent numbers of ob/gy specialists, is continuing to monitor the situation.
