The Downtown Association wishes to remind the public that Queen Street will be closed to vehicular traffic between East Street and Dennis Street from 6 p.m. to midnight on Friday, July 17 in order to allow Downtown Days to take place.

Downtown Days features a variety of sidewalk sales, live music and area artists.

Downtown Association Communications Strategist Cindy Crawford informs SooToday.com that "traffic traveling westward on Queen, and wanting to access the Station Mall or RotaryFest, will have to turn north on East Street,  west on Wellington and south on Dennis Street in order to access these sites. By closing Queen Street, this means that feeder streets running north and south (from Brock to Bruce Streets) will not be able to be used to access Bay Street."

Area residents wishing to participate in Downtown Days are encouraged to take advantage of the free parking offered downtown after 5 p.m.

In order to accommodate the free day-long celebration of original music offered by Rotaryfest's Second Stage, Queen Street will also be closed from East Street to Brock Street immediately following the Rotaryfest parade on Saturday, July 18 until approximately midnight.
