The following advisory was distributed this morning by the Sault Ste. Marie Chamber of Commerce to its member businesses:

*********************** On 29 August 2004 the Greater Sudbury Police Service arrested two males charged with uttering counterfeit currency.

Accused were using vehicle ARJN944, 2001 Pontiac Sunfire, grey.

Suspects visited stores throughout Ontario and made small purchases exchanging counterfeit $50 bills.

Several bills are believed still in circulation.

Serial numbers are all the same: EHX2642653.
