Don't plan on lunch at Muio's this Friday

This doesn't happen very often.

Least of all on a regular business day.

"Muio's will be closed on Friday, December 4 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. for the shooting of a scene in the movie Longfellow," Rob DiRenzo, owner of the popular downtown eatery, tells SooToday.com. "If you could pass this on to your readers, I would greatly appreciate it."

The brief service interruption is for a good cause, the restaurateur adds.

"We are more than pleased to be helping out. It's been a fine experience to meet some of the crew. They've all been very kind and appreciative of us and the Sault in general."

Meanwhile, the film's production manager has distributed advance notices to nearby businesses and offices.

"We are starting with filming interior scenes at Muio's Restaurant where we will be until noon," notes Srdjan Vilotijevic. "Our unit will then move to the dental office at 388 Queen Street East until 23:00 p.m. that night. These will be the two locations we will be filming in on December 4. We will have equipment and our main unit specifically in and around the restaurant and later the dental office, but we will make sure pedestrian and regular traffic are in no way obstructed."

In total, filming has planned for up to six sites around the city.

The dark comedy is about Robert Longfellow, a once-successful playwright who makes a routine trip home to visit his elderly mother.
