'Don't ask don't tell', the controversial official U.S. policy on homosexuals serving in the military has been repealed.
Today President Obama, the Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta, and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mike Mullen certified that repeal will not harm military readiness.
Following a 60-day waiting period, the bill that prohibited military personnel from discriminating against or harassing closeted homosexual or bisexual service members or applicants, while barring openly gay, lesbian, or bisexual persons from military service will be part of history.
