************************* Sault Ste. Marie Police Service requesting assistance with an investigation into a motor vehicle/ pedestrian collision on April 6, 2008, at Joe’s No Frills on Korah Road and Second Line West.

SAULT STE. MARIE - (April 15) - Officers from traffic services are currently investigating an accident involving a motor vehicle and pedestrian which occurred at 3 p.m. on April 6, 2008 in the parking lot of Joe’s No Frills located at 519 Korah Road.

A 65 year-old female pedestrian pushing a shopping cart was struck by a beige pickup truck.

The male driver of the truck, described to be approximately 55 years old, did get out and assist the female, but left before his name and vehicle information could be obtained.

The pedestrian received minor injuries.

Investigation into this collision is continuing.

Traffic services are asking the driver or any persons or witnesses that have information into the collision to please contact them at 949-6300, extension 383.
