Disqualified driver loses wheels for 45 days

************************* Male arrested for driving while prohibited

Yesterday afternoon at approximately 3:30 p.m., members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 56-year-old male for driving while prohibited.

It is alleged that the accused male was operating his vehicle on Great Northern Road when he was involved in a motor vehicle collision.

When officers arrived to investigated the collision it was learned that the accused was prohibited from driving.

Patrick Pomerleau, age 56, of 212 Albert Street East Apartment 6 is charged with one count of driving while disqualified and is to appear in court on January 24 at 9 a.m.

The accused person’s vehicle was impounded for 45 days as a result of this offence.
