SooToday.com payed a visit to Ernie`s coffee shop at 13 Queen Street East today.
Rumours have been circulating around town that Ernie`s has closed up shop.
We were thrilled to discover the local diner open for business as usual.
Owner/operators Ernie, Judy and Chuck (pictured) are all still there serving up the famous Ernie burger and other homemade delights.
Even though it takes 45 minutes to cook an Ernie burger, it's well worth the wait!
When you visit, be sure to also check out the diner's impressive collection of hot sauces.
Operating since 1971, Ernie's hours of operation are 7 a.m.to 7 p.m. Tuesday to Saturday.
Closed Sunday and Monday.
