************************* Three wrongs make a court date !

BLIND RIVER, ON - On Canada Day a driver was pushing the limit in more ways than one.

At approximately 9:45 a.m. a vehicle caught the eye of the East Algoma traffic officer who clocked the vehicle on radar at 164 km/h.

While speaking with the driver the officer detected the odour of an alcoholic beverage and detected some of the usual signs of impairment.

The driver was arrested for impaired driving and returned to Blind River detachment.

While in custody a small quantity of suspected marijuana was found on his person and he was found to have only a class G2 driver’s licence.

Charged is 28-year-old Dean Hare of M’Chigeeng,

He is facing the following charges:

- Impaired driving, care or control of a motor vehicle in excess of legal alcohol limit;

- Possession of a controlled drug or substance, being a G2 driver with blood alcohol in excess of zero.

Hare was held in custody for some time before being released.

Hare is to appear in court in Blind River on August 9.
