************************* Due to an increased number of cases of gastrointestinal illness at the F.J. Davey Home (nausea, vomiting, diarrhea), their infection control team, which includes Algoma Public Health, have restricted visitors to three of their 12 resident home areas.

This measure is necessary to reduce the spread of infection and maintain the health and safety of the residents.

The home requests that anyone who is experiencing illness of an infectious nature to refrain from visiting.

Resident home area closure information is updated daily on their website.

Remember than hand washing is the single most effective way to prevent the spread of infection.
